Change tested on staging first

Every change must pass on staging.officeguard.co before touching prod.

Local build passes (npm run build)

Run NODE_ENV=production npm run build locally. A green build prevents the circular-import class of outage.

API endpoints verified (httpCheck or curl)

For any server/api change, hit the endpoint and confirm 2xx before publishing.

No pending DB migrations

Schema changes require a migration run. Skipping this causes runtime crashes.

Secrets match between staging and prod

New env vars added to staging must also be added to prod secrets before publish.

Previous commit hash noted for rollback

Record the last known-good commit so support can force-redeploy it if needed.
